But first, you should know that Dr. Aghaee didn't know I was going to create this. When I told him I was putting a site together for him that recommended him, he was genuinely surprised, and grateful.

My friend, I've already let you in just a bit on how freaked out I am of dentists, right? Well that didn't happen without reason. I actually went to the dentist many times since being a youth before trying my newest strategy... "avoid the dentist until death." Bad decision.

These dentist visits all proved to be challenging in one way or another. Tell me if you can relate to some of this:

Dr. Aghaee is first and foremost a complete professional. I've been to him now about 12 times now in the past 1 year (as I said, I had a lot of lost time to make up!) and I've had things as severe as cracked tooth, root canals, crowns, fillings, and gum fencing.

My first impression of his office was incredible, especially considering the experience I had after choosing a dentist from a directory. You see, I had cracked a tooth and was in ridiculous pain, so the dentist I found performed the beginning of a root canal, but decided half way through the procedure that it was best to "come back next week" as she wasn't prepared to spend all night trying to work on this "very, very bad teeth".

She worked from her house and her technology was way outdated. Picture in your mind if you will, pliers, doorknob, and string. (Okay, I'm being a bit dramatic now, but you get the idea here. Not cool.)

Dr Aghaee's dental practice has the latest technology in place. Top line computer software that immediately displays your x-ray on the monitors. Zoom ability and a high resolution display that he uses to actually show you what work should be done and how he'll plan on doing it if you agree. Consultative communication with a patient. I know, novel concept, right?

You aren't the best dentist in Gaithersburg though by having technology alone. There is much more actually, and let me start with his demeanor. I've never had a M.D. or D.D.S have such a professional, encouraging and peaceful nature. He sincerely desires to serve people and it's very evident.

Everytime I go in for more work, he takes his time, never rushes, and always checks on you throughout the process.

In addition, he has an excellent sense of humor, and a very good rapport with his receptionists and assistant. This is huge, and often overlooked when looking for a great dentist. I've actually experienced an argument between a dentist and his assistant, with me right smack in the middle. I have to say, to me it ranks as one of the most awkward feelings I can compare against.

Anyhow, the most important part to know for those like me who fear dentists. I've never had anyone actually predict when I may feel a sensitive or painful sensation so accurately, and talk to me before he/she proceeds. For example, he will tell you if you will even feel a light pinch. Now if you happen to react to a sensitive area during a procedure, his number one concern is making sure you're comfortable immediately, then proceeds to find out exactly what caused it so he can make sure you are in the know if you should expect that again.

So please, do yourself a favor...if you are in the Gaithersburg or Rockville area, or even if you're willing to drive in Maryland, and you need a dentist, for your own benefit, call Dr Aghaee.
